The best Chinese in Bedford. We have been regulars at May Garden, and have ordered occasionally from every other Chinese restaurant in the area.
We've ordered from Wong's Wok three times in the last two weeks (take-out), and besides the yu-shan eggplant, got different dishes each time. Except for the egg roll, every single item was top notch. Both with spicy dishes, such as the twice-cooked pork, and more mild ones, like ginger beef, the flavours are delightful.
Service is friendly, and food is prepared quickly.
Looking forward to working our way through the rest of the menu. :)
Update: originally they were using styrofoam take-out containers, but they have switched to nice plastic ones, so upping it to five stars. -

General Tao's Chicken is pleasantly spicy.
I tried Wong's Wok for the first time about two months ago, and it did not go well. The person who took my take-out order was not the same person who brought out my food from the kitchen, and yadda yadda yadda, I ended up with someone else's meal. I didn't realize until I got back to the office, but by then it was way too late to go back. I gave a very harsh review and got a response from the owner that evening. Long story short, I regretted the harsh review and decided to delete it and come back again in the future for a do-over. That day is today!
I tried the Combo #3. It comes with General Tao's Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, and one Egg Roll. I really enjoyed the General Tao's Chicken. The sauce is spicy, but not too much so. The portion size was just right. The fried rice was pretty good. The egg roll in my combo was the meat-paste filled kind, and was tasty with some plum sauce on it.
It's difficult to compare Wong's Wok with similar restaurants, since there aren't any other Chinese food places close to this one. I'm a fan of both May Garden (5 to 10 minute drive away) and Great Wall (downtown Halifax near my office), so I'll use those for comparison. The General Tao's Chicken from Wong's is just as good as a typical main course dish from either of my favorite spots. The egg roll was also on par. I have to say that the Chicken Fried Rice doesn't stand up to the competition. It wasn't bad, but it just isn't as good as what they consistently made at Great Wall.
Wong's Wok definitely wins on price. Most of their combos are priced at $7.99 plus tax before 3pm (according to their menu). I paid less than $10 for mine today, and I'm certainly not hungry after my meal. You won't find a better lunch deal than that around here. -

Excellent service, great prices and good food. It's a good alternative to Canadian Chinese but not as costly as authentic Chinese. Their combo plates are a good deal and they even have lunch specials.
It can get quit busy so best to order well ahead. -

I finally had a chance to try Wong's Wok -- which has been open for the past six months. In a region desperate for good Chinese cuisine, Wong's is a refreshing newcomer. The food is fresh, well-prepared and provides great taste. The owner, Frank, is extremely personable and attentive. I strongly recommend that everyone try this extraordinary start-up.

Food was great, service was great, and it was a fairly short wait. Not a huge location but doesn't seem to have an issue seating people. There seems to be a large amount of takeout orders, which would explain why seating is never an issue.
